Dear Prospective Advisors, Delegates, and Organizers,
It is with immense pleasure to welcome you to the American University of Sharjah Model United Nations (AUSMUN) 2022 which marks our fifteenth annual conference. I am deeply honored to serve as the Secretary-General of AUSMUN 2022 and to have the opportunity to greet and welcome you.
It brings me great joy to announce the countdown to AUSMUN 2022, an everlasting journey filled with determination, enthusiasm, passion, and perseverance, all of which are surely characteristics and values shared by each one of you. We, the AUSMUN 2022 Executive Board, strive to uphold our bright and glorious legacy, introduce creative and innovative changes, offer exclusive benefits, and far exceed your expectations. As established by the previous editions, AUSMUN will remain the most prestigious hub for UN simulations across the region, welcoming advisors, delegates, and organizers from diverse backgrounds and introducing a wide range of committees and topics.
With “Sapere Aude” as our guiding principle, we invite you to take part in an enriching, fun, and memorable experience, one that shall enlighten and inspire you as well as widen your horizons to not only learn the art of debating and diplomacy, but also to become bright and prosperous future leaders because it is simply your time to shine!

About Us
A few years ago, AUS participated in the Harvard Model United Nations, the largest and oldest of its kind in the world. We were able to learn first-hand about different aspects of the international political system and grasp our role as citizens of the world. Marking the 10th anniversary of AUS, local high schools in the United Arab Emirates shared a similar experience with the birth of AUSMUN. In a course of months, students from AUS worked relentlessly to create a conference that both delegates and advisors would enjoy and dearly remember. We proudly recall the immense success of the first AUSMUN. The delegates left the conference with a significantly improved understanding of international relations and organizations. We strive to replicate that remarkable feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction each year. This year marks the 15th Annual Model United Nations at the American University of Sharjah. Despite the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID 19 pandemic, AUSMUN promises to uphold its legacy and make this year's conference one worth remembering for the years to come.
